The Cottage

Every convenience, finished to a luxury standard

Garden Cottage is a fully renovated two-bedroom cottage with every convenience provided to make your stay as luxurious and enjoyable as possible. We designed and renovated it to the standard we would expect from a luxury rental property ourselves.

The Garden Bedroom

The Garden Bedroom overlooks your patio area and small walled garden, with views of the main house's garden. It has a super-king bed with high-quality linen, and a full ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating and a rain shower.

There's a TV with satellite and Prime Video channels, and an Amazon Echo that can act as your alarm or play music to lull you to sleep.

The Paddock Bedroom

The Paddock Bedroom overlooks the horse paddock and the woodland to the rear of the cottage. Like the Garden Bedroom it has a super-king bed with high-quality linen, and a larger ensuite with underfloor heating and a rain shower.

It too has a TV with satellite and Prime Video, and an Alexa of its own.

The Living Area

The cottage has a large living area taking in the open-plan kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, reading nook and seating area. It's richly furnished to make you feel at home, and if the weather isn't great, it's a fine spot to curl up with a book and a glass of wine.

There's a 50-inch TV with Irish and satellite channels plus Prime Video, and you can log into your own streaming service if you'd rather.

The Porch

The porch sits just outside the main living area and is an ideal space for outdoor dining. It's handy to the kitchen, so serving food is no hassle, and if there's a rain shower, well, we've got you covered. Some subtle lighting to boot.

It's a great place to enjoy a summer evening, and it's the thing guests mention most.

The Kitchen

A good-sized modern kitchen with all the usual conveniences: fan oven, induction hob, microwave, integrated fridge-freezer and integrated dishwasher. There's a Nespresso machine and a four-slice toaster.

It has all the usual pots, oven dishes and crockery, including a few things you may not bring from home, such as spices. It's open plan with a breakfast bar, so cooking can be a sociable occasion.

The Bathrooms

The bathrooms have generous showers with externally pressurised water feeds, so you can enjoy a decent shower to start the day. Extra-large sink units give you space for all the bits and bobs in your toilet bag.

Both have underfloor heating to keep your toesies nice and warm. The Paddock bathroom has a hot-press, which also houses a washing machine.

The Stove

The cottage has a wood stove, and we supply the wood, so if there's a chill in the evening you can enjoy the warmth of a real fire.

The cottage is well insulated and has underfloor heating throughout, but there's something about a fire when the evening grows darker that adds a bit of ambiance.

Alexa

There are three Amazon Echos, one in the living area and one in each bedroom, connected to a Spotify account for music.

Alexa also controls the living-room lamps and the cottage's hot water. Just ask her to “turn on the hot water”.
